Logo Design Brief

We are an indi-rock band in need of logo and branding design. Our music can be heard at www.crinolinetheband.com. Our main colors are black and bright fuschia, but we are open to seeing logos in just black and white as well (we want to use the logo on merchandise, so we don't want the pink to limit purchases to women). We need a picture logo/symbol and a word logo (that can be used together and separately). We are a band of men and women. Our music has an edgy, punk, garage band feel, and our posters tend to look a bit dark and goth (although we are not a metal or goth band). Our posters can be viewed on our website. We'd like the symbol to resemble a skirt (crinoline often is used underneath skirts, etc.). THINK METAL AND LACE COMBINED. THINK RIOT GRRRL. THINK EDGY.

Requirements

Must have

• We are totally open to your creativity! Just check out our posters and you'll get a sense of our feel.

Nice to have

• Would be great if symbol included skirt image. We love the idea of the Rolling Stones "lips" being so identifiable with the band, even though its has no name reference. Perhaps we an have a stylized skirt that works like that.

Should not have

• We are an all age band, so no adult content (curse words, nude images, middle finger type symbols). Even though we're "all ages", though, we are SEXY, EDGY and ROUGH.
