Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for a real estate industry project - Byutviklerne - which will profile and market a collection of the most successful and distinguished real estate developers as passionate quality developers of cities.

These players invest in the development of new buildings and some times whole districts, leaving a substantial mark on their surroundings. They are the real architects of the city, putting their signature on the ways cities evolve.

The word Byutviklerne is Norwegian, which translates to City Developers in English.

Update August 25th: Many design proposals fail to convey the sense of sophistication that this logo must represent in order to be successfull. We want to see no single houses, no building cranes, no flashy design. Instead: Try to capture the connection between creating a great real estate project AND the city - how the smaller element enriches the larger.

Target Market(s)

The high end part of the real estate industry (not real estate agents!), with the top real estate investors.

• A clean and discreet look, illustrating a sophisticated and advanced industry that put an enormous amount of money and time into their million dollar urban projects, using their own money as well as that of investors and banks.

Nice to have

• The logo may signal an urban context and/or a hint of the art of constructing/building a city - in combination with a high end look for a part of an industry that is a large player in society.
• The word Byutviklerne consists of two words; by and utviklerne. By translates into city and utviklerne translates into developers. A good logo design may consider to use this to suggest that the city is constantly being developed and redeveloped, and that it is possible to combine these two words in various ways.

Should not have

• Nothing flashy.
• No images of a house - this is a professional association and a not a single house builder.
• No abbreviation - the word Byutviklerne can not be abbreviated into BK or any other form.
