Logo Design Brief
Have never really had a logo, now need a logo for an application to the South African Civil Aviation Authority for an operators license for drones, however we are still primarily professional land surveyor, registered to undertake cadastral surveys, other surveys include mapping, topgraphic, engineering, etc. Instruments used are total stations, high grade GPS, and now drones (multirotor and fixed wing), software model maker and agisoft photoscan. The design should visually explain what we do. Clever integration of the instruments we use may be an option. The end result of our work is mostly a map or diagram of some sort. It should include a drone or symbolic drone, perhaps both multirotor and fixed wing, actual drones used at the moment, dji phantom 3 pro, and aero-m. Also looking to update my very basic website. In the past work has mostly been word of mouth. I have attached a concept of what I had in mind.

Requirements
Must have
- Drones should be incorporated (see attached concept), Logo text as above. Include green and black, but flexible. Would like to see symbolic earth, but very basic, too many other earth logo's out there. Should be easy to add to website, business cards and emails. I included the tripod with theodolite (not to give the impression that we are only aerial surveyors)
Nice to have
- Established in 1905 (not sure if this should be incorporated into logo)
- Perhaps a 3D logo will look better
Should not have
- Not too much fine detail, more symbolic, no drones only logo, primarily land surveyors venturing into drones.
