Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for our new LLC, Dow Asset Management. D.A.M. consists of a small, dedicated team of people that track the energy futures and options markets - we currently work with natural gas. The team has decades of experience and everyone enjoys and is highly engaged in these investments. We enjoy shooting for high success and handle risks carefully with diligent calculations but also a bit of flare.

We need a logo that reflects our energy, confidence, ability to keep up with the natural gas market, and time-tested successful trading methods. Our clientele are "old money". We need a simple and stately logo that would target this audience. Please use black and gold in the logo.

Target Market(s)

Our clients are considered qualified eligible persons ("QEPS"), meaning they have sufficient income/funds and experience in investing to adequately monitor the trading and investments we do on their behalf. We need our logo to target an "old money" audience.

Requirements

Must have

• The logo must have the company name: Dow Asset Management LLC. We are looking for a logo that is easy to read and has some pictorial or design element that makes it identifiable. It should be simple and stately with an "old money" feel, as this is our clientele.
  
  We would like it to have a smaller, visually pleasing color scheme. Please use black and gold ink. We don't want a rainbow-like color scheme (red, yellow, blue, green). Other colors may be added to the black and gold if you feel they mesh well.
  
  I have attached some images below, two that represent the parent company (Dow Corporation and Dow Vector Analysis) and another that is similar - in layout- to what we are looking for. The logo for Dow Asset Management does NOT need to resemble the parent company as it's goals are different. I could only attached four items, thus here are links for some other examples:

Nice to have

• One of the vector analysis elements that the traders look at is the "delta" value of a particular commodity; the greek delta. This might be useful somehow in the logo. I have attached an image. But this is NOT necessary.

Should not have

• We don't want anything that is money-related in the logo (dollar sign, dollar bills, coins, etc.). Our company's ultimate mission is to make profit for our clients, but we are invested in statistical and vector analysis methods - our achievements are made because of careful calculations and commitment.
