Logo Design Brief

I am starting a new Montessori school and will need logo designs and web-site designs. I had a vision of using the magnolia flower and/or tree with the initials of the school (MMS). The colors I had in mind (I think) are maybe maroon and beige or taupes.
I wanted a simple logo to be used on stationary and applications etc, and then a more elaborate one for the web-site and marketing materials.
