Logo Design Brief

Austin, Texas based company seeking a logo design which will be taking clients to various domestic and international locations for retreats which will focus on coaching and deepening their yoga and surf practice, and inspiring practical learning experiences such as welding, car mechanics 101, archery, growing food, martial arts, gladiator type workouts, etc.
There is a soft edge to the company through yoga and meditation, but a heftier edge through practical education, getting your hands dirty, and learning how to shoot things, battle opponents, fix your car, etc.... all while being guided through meditation sessions and teaching the ways of living a more conscious and fulfilling lifestyle through plant based nutrition, training in physical movement and endurance, while seeking out opportunities for ways to give back to those around us (Non-profit branch).

Target Market(s)

Adventure seekers, soul searchers, retreat addicts, anyone wanting a guide and group companions to travel with, those wanting to learn to surf, practice yoga and kung fu, tai chi, find enlightenment and coaching through meditation and living life to the fullest.

Requirements

Must have

• Vintage compass.
• Very important to take example photos attached into consideration.

Nice to have

• Just a few ideas:
• 1. Labyrinth within the compass,
• 2. Ensō : Japanese zen Buddhism circle that is hand-drawn in one or two uninhibited brushstrokes to express a moment "When the mind is free to let the body create". The ensō symbolizes absolute enlightenment, strength, elegance, the universe, and mu (the void),
• 3. Bow and arrow.
• 4. Sketched or Japanese style Ocean Wave (possibly turn the end of the ensō into the wave).

Should not have

• Don't want it to look cartoonish. More classic, vintage, asian inspired. Not too feminine please.
• Not opposed to Black and White (Grayscale) or other colors, we just don't want any of the more feminine color scales (pink, purple, etc).
