Packaging Design Brief

We are looking for a box design for our new video software product, Rocketvideo. You may find numerous design elements attached that you may implement to help tie the box design to our physical product. I've attached vector logos, icons, the hard drive sticker designs and a link to the matching pdf manual that will be included in this box. Also please find a picture of the box mock-up and the template the printing press will be using to get a good idea of how it is assembled.

Rocketvideo includes a hard drive with thousands of stock video animations from our website motionloops.com. One reason we went with the velcro flap "book cover" style box packaging was to give us more room to add lots of images - since the images are what will sell the product sitting on the shelves.

As you can see from the booklet, we have ~30 categories that represent the library of 3000 videos so we want a way to show these categories in some easy to understand way using images on the box design. You can find some text and design requirements in the attached document.

We want the feel of the box to reflect the feel of the reference manual pdf.

Remaining details are in the document in reference to what content should appear on each panel of the Rocketvideo box.

Requirements

Must have

• Super high-end feel. Use the attached booklet as a starting point for the design. Keep in mind the booklet and hard drive are included inside the box. You can view the hard drive through the clear window under the inside flap (see attached)
  Very clean.
  Leave space for 1.5" circular labels on the front panel (see attachment)
  Include a spot UV layer (we will use spot UV)
  Include an optional foil layer (we may or may not use foil depending on your design)

Nice to have

• We may include foil in the design.
