Logo Design Brief
We need a logo design for a new group of conflict and dispute resolution professionals. We are mediators, trainers, coaches. We do not want to look or feel like lawyers or zen meditators.
Mediation is a facilitated dialogue that puts the power of the people back into their own hands. In mediation you talk, you listen, you decide. We provide an emotionally safe space to speak candidly, be heard, and be supported in listening to the other side. Our goal is to keep people out of court or to mitigate the potential damage and stress that our traditional adversarial court process typically entails.
Mediation often resolves matters in one or two meetings, though can take as many meetings as folks desire. Courts can take months or years to resolve the same issues.
When participants reach agreement, they can end mediation with a handshake or, ideally, the mediator will put their agreement to writing. When parties sign the agreement, the agreement is a binding as any other agreement, enforceable by the court - at the court's discretion (as always). Though signed mediated agreements are binding, participants are not obliged to reach agreement in mediation. In a court setting someone else decides for you, in mediation you decide - agree, not agree etc.
We accept cases for:
- Family matters (divorce, separation, co-parenting, post-divorce changes)
- Landlord/Tenant disputes
- Small Claims court filings - or avoiding the filing ( no money limits in mediation)
- Elder Care issues
- Workplace conflict (boss/employee, peer, key person sustainability)
- Neighbor or neighborhood conflict
The design should communicate a feeling of confidence in our highly trained and experienced professionals and the self empowered process of mediation. It might project the cost benefit of mediating vs. litigating - not just in dollars, but in terms of less stress, moving on more quickly, and healthier more confident futures ahead.
In addition to mediation services, we provide interpersonal skills development, act as a resource for small businesses and startups in a customized ombuds role and will customize training in conflict communication skills.
Feel welcome to ask questions - I'm not sure if I have provided you with enough, or too much information.
