Packaging Design Brief

We are in need of a front and back coffee label for a brown paper valve bag.

Our brand is Zen Kape. We source the finest and rarest varieties of coffee from the four corners of South East Asia that have been until now kept secret. Our selection has been cultivated by tribal communities and micro lot farmers who for generations have taken pride in organically producing truly amazing coffees. The result is coffee unlike any we have ever tasted before, truly showing how special Asian kapé can be. We believe every bean is precious which is why we ensure all our coffees are sourced ethically through direct trade, roasted by specialists and treated with utmost respect to fulfill our promise of serving you kapé that gives happiness in every cup.

The design of the label will encompass our Company Name logo and signature drinking buddha logo. We want a logo that stands out but at the sane time clearly displaying the finer details of the coffee, such as taste notes, variety etc.

The particular variety we want a label for is called YUNNAN.

The front of the bag I would ideally like a picture of the farmer, of which I have provided on website or attached. Together with the name of the coffee and our company logo. Perhaps further details of the coffee can be found on the back. But would like to see creative input.

• Yunnan’, in local dialect means ‘South of the Cloud’. The Yunnan province located in Southern China is graced with world renowned scenic beauty for its tranquil mountainous valleys. The name we chose for this coffee originated from the location of the coffee trees growing south of the Yunling Mountains (known to locals as Cloud Mountain).Our ‘Yunnan’ coffee is grown south of the Yunling in the rolling hills of Bao Shan and Kunming at an altitude of 1100 - 1400 meters. Pairing organic farming methods and top grade washing and sorting facilities have allowed the farms we work with to perfect their coffee to specialty grade quality. The result of their hard work and dedication to their harvest was evident to us from our first cup.
