Logo Design Brief

I need a logo design for a new company based in Sydney called Pedal Happy. We provide mobile repairs and service for bicycles, saving the customers time and money by going to them.

I have attached a sketch (PH) of what I would like the logo to look like, this is just a rough sketch though. (I am no artist). I thought the sketch would help me communicate what is in my mind to you better.

I would like the logo to be black and silver, if any colour is to be used I would prefer it to be a dark red but i do not want it to dominate it, just as a highlight.

I am open to font styles but it has to be clean and easy to read, I like the style and mix of capital and lower case letters in the sketch. The bicycle component that the surrounds the company name in the sketch is called a crankset. I have also attached a picture (PH2) that I found on the internet to help get this message across as it is hard to explain.

The 'e' in the work pedal should replace the bolt that is in the centre of the crankset. A bicycle crankset can come in many, may different design's, it is the one in this picture that I based my sketch off. If you would like to tidy up my sketch or alter it please use the crankset in the picture as the reference. I really like that particular model of crank.

I want the business to appeal to a broad market. Professional enough to give the corporate end of town confidence in the business but also not intimidate 'mum and dad' customers.
