Logo Design Brief

I need a logo, and a typeface design for business cards and stationary. The company is developing a compound that has doubled lifespan in the invertebrate model, and now has begun mouse trials. This requires a professional fund raising process, and hence this request. I would prefer a logo that uses or relates to the "fountain of youth", but other ideas would be considered. Generally, I prefer a more modern, colorful style, but am open to any approach.
