Art oriented "guidebook" needs map markers for a website

Can you tell me a little more about your app or website? The mission here is a little vague on what you're trying to accomplish? What is the app for? Who is it for?

Also, this to be too many icons to have on a map. The map will become confusing and overwhelming to your user. Would you consider breaking down the list into 3-4 categories?

So have an icon that represents...
-Live Entertainment
-Exhibits (art exhibits, museums, book stores, street art)
-Architectural sites

Thank you for your valuable comments.
Grouping categories as you propose has an inconvenient, it requires either to create sub categories to be more accurate or to have categories with a (too) big number of elements. There is many ways to keep a map readable, you can filter the categories you are interested in with a menu and therefore have only these ones visible or filter by zooming level: street level see everything, which is then not too many points, city level only show the "most important ones".
So to answer to question, I would prefer to keep different markers for the categories I have defined.
Then for the application itself, the target is really to be a "tourist guidebook" on mobile : check your points of interest, prepare your trip accordingly, use the app in the street to guide you... The concept is not new for sure, you may have already used some of them for your travels........
I hope this answers your questions.

GB

Hi,
Just to make it sure, do you require all the icons in one place in psd file?
