A logo for my new website...using a psychological intervention developed to help people move through stuckness in grief by re-narrating the stories they tell themselves that keep them stuck...
It is a project aimed at opening up peoples grief in a relational way. I use storytelling to help them come to know what they are unable to formulate in ways that lead to resolution. It is a short term project (6-12 // 2 hour sessions) using photos, meaningful objects, and memories to re-organize perspectives into forward moving ideas about living into a bigger understanding of their losses. The service is offered for children as well as adults AND results in an ebook (or other artistic self expression) that serves as an anchor for the inevitably shifting internal effort to hold onto hopeful forward movement that has been reframed, redirected or reinvented through our process. I believe that new perspectives lead us to different understandings and new possibilities for shaping our sense of life into the future in light of our losses, not despite them. I also believe that stories are our greatest legacy. Guiding a conscious reflection upon our stories and telling them
from the heart has the potential to help us live up to the challenges our losses offer.

Reason: My web designer just let me know that her mom took a fall and she has to go manage things so will be out of town for 4 or 5 days...I am to bring my "choice" to her when we meet ( new date next Tuesday) May 10th.
