Logo Design Brief

In need of a new logo for a new company called 'Diamond State Defensive Solutions, LLC', or 'DSDS, LLC' for short. We provide firearms instruction from basic use to defensive concealed carry. We also build custom holsters and provide armorer services. I'd like to see cooler colors used, maybe blues, charcoal, but not set on it. Don't want any firearms or obvious diamonds in the logo. We want to be modern looking, communicate professionalism and want to instill thoughts of defense, protection, safety, etc. I did a cookie cutter logo to show some of what I'm looking for which is attached. I want something unique to the company, though.
