Logo Design Brief

We are looking for a design for our 65 room ocean front, 3 story walk up hotel building situated on Kaanapali Beach in the heart of Maui, Hawaii.
The building is currently undergoing a "face-lift" renovation - new paint, furniture, art. The colors are fun and colorful - beachy, corals and blues. We want this boutique hotel to be fun, funky, fresh, beachy, modern and bright - welcoming. The initials for Kaanapali Ocean Inn are KOI - so appropriately we think a KOI fish might make for the perfect representation - but no ordinary KOI - he needs to be fresh and modern - not quite Tattoo like but maybe hints of that. You can look at our website www.hawaiianhotels.com and see current pics of the KOI building but it's not representative of changes.
