Logo Design Brief
Redwood Consulting is a new technical consultancy providing a range of computing consultancy, but specialising in software engineering. We primarily advise developers on how to build software efficiently, robustly and reliably. We are UK based.
We're open to logo designs featuring Redwood trees, tree rings, etc - to the extent that these can communicate robustness/reliability, depth of experience, wisdom, etc - but also aware that this motif can seem predictable/overused. Other ideas are welcome. We're targeting a logo that is clean/tech-friendly, while still tying in with the founder's name (Robert Redwood). Much of the current value of the brand is in this personal name Robert Redwood, so something featuring an R is a possibility, though again could be dull / clichéd.
We're considering using a deep red or deep green as the chief brand colour. We're provisionally interested in a logo versatile enough to carry this brand colour on a white background (e.g. paper letterhead), or appear inversely as a white logo on a boldly coloured background (e.g. website, business card).
In terms of size/complexity, the logo should be adaptable enough to appear comfortably in both smaller contexts (e.g. mobile website, business card) and a larger more spacious context (e.g. desktop website, letterhead).
