Illustration Design Brief

BACKGROUND:
We sell cushy play mats for kids of age 0-5 in US. Our products are one of the top selling play mats on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DTGGOO8) and we are preparing for new designs. The design is for both boys and girls and needs to be particularly appealing to new moms in US.

Depending on how the contest goes, I may follow up with more design contests of the same product line.

IMPORTANT SPECIFICATIONS:
Design on our mat has below specifications to be followed strictly due to the way it is manufactured:
* The size of design to be printed on a mat should be 1200mm (width) x 1580mm (height)
* The design should be SEAMLESSLY REPEATED side-to-side every 1200mm. You can see the existing designs (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DTGGOO8) to get an idea of how this works.
* Top and the bottom part of the height may be cut up to 150mm (9.5% of the image height) each during the production. So these areas need to be filled with images that may be cut. (I added some more details for this to the 'Comments' section)
* To be printed in offset (CMYK). Need AI file.

DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS:
* I am looking for a playful illustration of a town/city where animals live. You can think of the theme to be similar to the latest Disney's Zootopia movie.
* The scene should be of a bird's eye view
* As the scene needs to be repeated side-to-side due to manufacturing process (as mentioned above), the left and right side of the illustration needs to be matched seamlessly. At the same time, I wish the repetition is not too obvious to customers. Few ideas to make the repetition less obvious is to have more than one object/animal on the scene and to keep sizes of each objects about the same.

Requirements

Must have

• * The scene should be consist of various animals, various buildings/scenaries (school, fire station, policy station, market, play ground, stadium, houses, lake, etc.), roads, vehicles (cars, buses, train, airplane, boats, helicopter, etc.)
• * Each animal should represent some kind of occupation or characteristics
• * There should be many visible signs with alphabets (e.g. "Fire Station", "STOP", etc.)
• * There should be some numbers on the design as well. Some examples I can think of are the street names (1st St, 2nd St, etc), scores on the stadium, numbers on the bus/train, etc.
