Can you provide a bit more info on café decor? From the brief it sounds modern but is it modern industrial, Japanese, Scandinavian, etc.? Possibly not modern at all and I misinterpreted?

If you could post a couple of links to google images that reflect the style of the café it would be helpful in designing a logo that fits with both interior and exterior signage.

Finally is the accent on the "e" in café required?

Imagine red brick walls and dark counters/bar...very much an Industrial style with exposed red brick bordering on the bohemian look. I would love to provide pictures but the space is not complete.

1. What will the café serve? Just coffee or full menu? Beer & wine?

2. Where is the café located in Toronto? Downtown proper? A specific neighborhood? Suburbs?

3. Do you want the logo to reflect place or should it be geographically innocuous?

4. If the logo should reflect place how would you like that done?

- Abbreviations as tertiary elements such as TOR/CAN/CA
- TOR skyline (if done in a subtle way)
- Other landmark/icon/theme associated with a specific neighborhood
