Logo Design Brief

I'm starting an small batch, artisan ice cream shop in Brooklyn, NY. The name of the company will be "Seaside Ice Cream Co." and I want the logo to have a nostalgic yet modern feel (please see prototype attached) but not feel precious or snobbish. I'd like the graphic to be a carousel with the name of the company beneath and then probably "Brooklyn" or "Brooklyn, NY" beneath the name of the company. Right now, I'm thinking of all black for the graphic and the type. For the graphic, I'm maybe thinking about more of a simple, hand-drawn feeling but please do what you think would work. Thank you!
