Vintage Senior Home is a new boutique style nursing home, based in San Juan (Puerto Rico), where we are able to pamper our residents, laughter is contagious, the joy of giving is understood, friends and family are always welcome, and the simple pleasures in life are never taken for granted.
We would like to see designs that cater to our potential elderly clientele...but most important is for it to instill a feeling of security and caring love on our clients relatives (sons & daughters), since they are the ones who pick the homes for their parents. We need said relatives to rest assured that their loves ones are well taken care of. Our target clients and families are upper middle class.
As far as colors and other hints, for the designers who will be working on the potential logos, here are some of our personal preferences:
1. We like a fresh look...please don't relate the name with the traditional "wear out" pictures or drawings of old people, clocks, caring hands, hearts, etc...that usually are always seen in logos or advertisement dealing with senior citizens. Hence our vision of a logo that is seriously elegant, but also a little bit more modern and sophisticated in its look.
2. Equally important is the need to communicate a comfortable, warm feeling to the logo.
3. My wife enjoys the look and feel that flowers, trees, petals or leaves communicate and bring to the scene, as we are located on a tropical island....but this is a nice to have, not a 100% necessary component of the logo.
4. Try not to overwhelm with a rainbow of striking colors, logo simplicity is key here.
5. As far as color palette goes. We like subtle light greens and blues. We are open to the idea more intense colors (i.e. reds, oranges, etc.) but only as modest accents. Definitively no shades of gray or violet.
6. Will need for the logo to be flexible and look good in print as well as on a website, brochures, black and white documents and basically any platform.
Well, hope the above serves to better orient you on creating for us that beautiful logo that encompass all our hard work, kindness and caring.
