T-shirt Design Brief
I need a t-shirt designed for The High Chaparral Reunion, a celebrity western event (http://thehighchaparralreunion.com/). The attached file 'High Chaparral tshirt' and 'shirt2014' shows you an example of what we have done in the past - something western that looks vintage.
Imprint area is 12"w x 12h".
Fans buy these as a collectible and look for a photo of the attending guest celebrities on the shirt. The collage type design shown in the attached samples has been popular with our fans in the past. Because this is a western celebrity nostalgia event the overall western theme is important....but our fans don't like cheap or kitschy designs.
I've included several shots of each of the attending celebrities. They are numbered in order of importance - #1 are the bigger stars and so should be more prominent on the design (i.e. Don Collier, Robert Fuller, etc). #2 can be smaller, #3 smaller than that and so on. Please choose whichever celebrity shot works best for your design but do include one of each celebrity guest. If you find a better alternate shot that is fine.
I ranked the stars by number in the files I attached, with #1 being the most important. The number is the first character in the file name, so they are
1: Don Collier, Robert Fuller, Darby Hinton (these should be largest)
2: BarBara Luna, Roberta Shore
3. Rudy Ramos, Ed Faulkner
4: Stan Ivar , Neil Summers
NOTE THIS LIST CHANGED FROM THE ORIGINAL BRIEF!
The #2 stars can be smaller, and then from there on down through the #3, #4 and #5 they can be much smaller as needed – they just need to be on the shirt but don’t need to be prominent, so they can be grouped together however you need to make it work.
The design will be used on both a dark and light colored shirt...dark color is most important as if necessary I have an alternate design I can use on the light colored shirt. In the past we have used a dark burgundy shirt but we can go with a dark brown, black or other dark colored shirt, whatever fits the design best.
The final design should showcase the event, the celebrities, and be a keepsake souvenir for fans who attend.

Requirements
Must have
- Western feel but high end attractive visually. Include all celebrity guests in order of (ranked by size) listed importance. Must treat the TV western genre with respect.
Nice to have
- Collages have worked well in the past since we have so many folks to include, but if you have a better idea I'm open to it. Realistic look that pays homage to classic TV/movie westerns.
Should not have
- Cartoonish feel, anything that makes fun of the TV/Movie western genre. Heavy greens and yellows are not preferred.
