Logo Design Brief

Logo for 6 Senses Coaching and Consultancy - required to be used on business cards, website and stationary, marketing materials etc

This is my first involvement in running a business and it is only in the start up stages at present.

It is intended that the business will provide executive coaching and consultancy services to both private and public sector organisations as well as private individuals wanting development at this level. There is the potential to offer services to high potential managers aspiring to executive level as well as the development of bespoke services for female leaders.

The consultancy avenue of the business is to be focuses on providing support to organisations through undertaking reviews of specific business area or wider more overarching review of the whole to assist change management, dealing with improvements, demand management and failure demand, and rooting out waste. This will be tailored to meet organisational needs.

As a retired executive I am able to offer both credibility from my background added to a long term people development approach in my working life.

My target audience will therefore be private individuals, executives and top teams/senior management teams from both private and public sector organisations offering personal development to enhance work performance, relationships and outcomes.

Given the name I have chosen - coaching is designed to lead to greater personal awareness and self management - through awakening of the senses of the coachee or organisation so it is applicable to both parts of the business.

Therefore I am thinking that I would like to have an impactive picture/image on my home page and any marketing material that somehow encapsulates this sense of getting to grips with with the senses,
seeing, hearing, feeling, touching and smelling the possibilities of achieving outcomes beyond people's self limiting horizons. With the coaching or development at a personal or organisational level providing that 6 sense of Extra Sensory Perception, (ESP), which allows individuals or organisations to make more sense of their world or the world they operate in.

I was therefore thinking how I could incorporate a logo design into seascape view showing the horizon getting brighter in the distance the future - representing a sea change of movement from the dark into the light - leaving the client with a sense of positive outcome through personal or organisational development.

I am a little stuck on colours to be honest and have no great preference as things stand but I will send you two photographs that may help with the process.

As I do not yet have an existing website I have no further information I can provide - I hope this gives a sense of what I am trying to achieve - obviously as the picture and logo will be the first impression that clients get it needs to be sufficient to draw people in but subtle at the same time.

I was hoping to be able to have the logo and site menu for my website displayed on the front page on top of the photograph - designed to the heighten the senses!

• Would be nice to have some three dimensional aspect to it if possible without compromising the detail of the design.
• Having looked at a number of the designs I have been thinking about how the logs could connect more closely to my business and as coaching is all about reflection I wonder if the design could be reflected as if into a mirror or some object to make this link. Alternatively the logo is going to sit on a sea scape picture so the logo could just be reflected upside down on the water. I hope this makes sense and will try and make the design a little more unique. Many thanks or your work so far. Jackie
