Logo Design Brief

I need a logo design for my BBQ sauce. Unlike most commercial BBQ Sauces that are dark, thick, and very bold in flavor my sauce is light, sweet, and tangy with a little kick. I also have a spicy version that I would like a label for. I would like a label that is different than the typical sauce label that features a pig, cow, or chicken on the bottle. I also do not want to compete with a Texas, Memphis, or St Louis theme. I am from California and I would like to incorporate something California into the label without being too overbearing or boisterous. I would also like to incorporate some vibrant colors into the label such as green, light blue, yellow, orange, and red. I notice most BBQ sauce labels comprise of mostly shades of brown, black, and red. I am not married to the name "The Sauce" nor am I dead set on the idea of using the term "California Style" on the bottle. So if you can come up with a better name have at it. I have included my first attempt at a label to give you a better idea of what I am trying to accomplish.

Requirements

Must have

• COLOR! I want to stand out form the crowd of other BBQ sauce with the generic brown, red, and black colors. I would like the sauce to be advertised as a All-Purpose BBQ and Dipping sauce and not limit it to Chicken, beef, or pork like other sauces do.

Nice to have

• I would like to incorporate some gold color as the color of the cap to the bottle I will be using is gold.

Should not have

• Typical BBQ sauce images of a Cow, Pig, Chicken, or Cowboy. Unless you have a design that can incorporate all meats to showcase that it is an all-purpose sauce.
