Book Cover Design Brief

I need a book cover for a publication of a doctoral research with regard to styles of piano performance characteristic to various nations.

Any images or graphics are optional, typography seems most important, but please feel free to be creative.

I attach the barcode, qsr and publisher's logo in the next few days. (Logo is still being designed).

For various reasons the size of the book is not completely decided yet. Please create your design in 7" x 10", but if at all possible, I would like to ask for files of two sizes, also including 8.5" x 11" in the final submission.

I am looking for a design that looks professional, probably simple, but I am open to any suggestions.

• Space for my logo on the front page and the spine.
• On the back page, please include some space for a short biography, 'barcode' and 'qsr' code.
• Please include whatever else you consider necessary.

Nice to have

• Would it be possible to use the same cover to a e-book edition?
