Icon Design Brief

We need a set of badges that represent our school district's Future Ready Skills. You can read about each of the skills here: https://sites.google.com/a/tahomasd.us/tahoma-future-ready-skills/ When you look at the individual skill pages (such as Collaborative Teammate) you will see what we're using now for the icon/badge for each skill.

These are the skills we need badges for:
Collaborative Teammate
Community Contributor
Complex Thinker
Conscientious Worker
Effective Communicator
Quality Producer
Responsible Decision-Maker
Self-Directed Learner

We would like each badge to be distinct from the others, but when viewed together there should be a consistent theme/pattern across the badges. Ideally, I would like each badge to have an icon that represents the particular skill in some way; however, given the abstract nature of the skills, this may not be possible, so we will consider something that just incorporates district logo or some other unifying image.

Each badge should include the name of the skill (e.g. Community Contributor, Effective Communicator, etc.), the name of our district (Tahoma School District) and "Future Ready Student." Here are some slides from a presentation I gave to our AP Art students last year about the badge project: https://goo.gl/8TsFKn This may help you get an idea of what we're looking for.

Finally, these badges should look good small ("badge sized"), as well as much larger (for instance on a poster about the skill).

Requirements

Must have

• Name of skill, name of district (Tahoma School District), coordination with other badges. Needs to work well small (digital badge) and large (poster). While we want the badges to be in color, we do need them to work in black and white or grey scale as well.

Nice to have

• A unique icon image for each badge.
