Logo Design Brief
The Weight Debate looks at the cultural, historical and political factors past and present which influenced and continue to effect peoples perceptions of body size in an effort to influence and understand the current debate on body size.
It will offer talks, courses and discussion groups to schools and groups ( the site's founder is an ex teacher) and online discussion and comment via a blog and Twitter.
Illustrations on the site will show, primarily, artist depictions (past and present) of the female body/bodies. All sizes.
Website colour scheme is teal, taupe and purple against a white background so this should be taken into account with the colour choice of the logo.
The logo could be the title of the site 'The Weight Debate'. What it needs to do is reflect its message and the fact that this site is aimed for educational purposes.

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: To allow more designs to chose from which reflect the brief given as many did not (for example, specifically requested no figures or obvious symbols such as scales. ).
Some are under consideration .

While I have received many designs only one has taken up suggestion made in the original brief of a logo featuring a pile of books with "The Weight Debate" showing. The site is educational and the logo needs to reflect this.
