Logo Design Brief

IMPORTANT UPDATE: This project was initially for a different logo (Diving Almanac). If you had already started work on a Diving Almanac logo, I would still like to see it. Thank you.

This project is for a new logo. The current GEERG logo is old and needs a complete makeover.

We are a research group that studies the Greenland shark in Canada.

The logo should include a silhouette of the Greenland shark and the acronym GEERG (and possibly GREENLAND SHARK RESEARCH).

I have uploaded our current logo. Note that the maple leaf is no longer required.

Requirements

Must have

• Greenland shark silhouette or outline.
• IMPORTANT: The Greenland shark silhouette should be based on a photo, not an illustration. Almost all Greenland shark silhouettes on the internet are anatomically incorrect.
• Only one colour, or black & white. I like the WWF logo (black & white).

Nice to have

• A circular design would be nice (see uploaded examples) or it could also be linear.
• It is an Arctic species so there could be some kind a reference to icy water.
• It could also be a plain logo like the WWF (panda).

Should not have

• Not too many colours.
