Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for our existing business that has been going for 5 years. We are a small local business that focuses on domestic & commercial electrical installation projects and testing / repairs in the Gateshead area of the UK.

We are wanting to expand and need a new logo to reflect our business, especially as we are wanting to expand into a new area. Newcastle Upon Tyne, the logo will reflect the new area in its design.

Our current logo uses orange and grey and can be seen at;

We are open to logos that use orange / blue and grey colours.
We will always use a white background so this should be in logo also (for web / white vans).

We want to develop this logo as it is a good starting point,
We would like to keep the design simple whilst incorporating a few more elements to communicate with our customers the following;

1. Newcastle upon tyne local firm so Tyne Bridge in the logo.
2. Name of Business
3. We are electricians - i.e something that symbolizes this like a light bulb / spark / uk plug / wire etc...
