Logo Design Brief

We have an Alliance with a national industry body to market and deliver an integrated suite of applications, apps, services and consulting to its members and the industry.
The key element we want to highlight through our logo is the idea of bringing it all together. At present, our target clients rely on a mixture of systems, service providers and in house application.
The industry is civil contracting. Road and bridge builders, local, state and federal contractors, housing developers, plumbers and builders.
The logo needs to be sophisticated, modern and confident.
I would like to be able to use the logo as a key in presentations to highlight different aspects of the solution.
I am sure you will have better graphic ideas than me. But geometric patterns that can be highlighted differently or broken apart and pulled together come to mind.

Colour palette is open but moder, sophisticated and confident are the guides.
