Logo Design Brief

We are a women's clothing label specialising in simple yet sophisticated skirts. Target audience is any woman who wants a beautifully designed skirt that you can dress up or dress down, is fun and playful or smart and serious depending on your mood. The final logo design should leave a lasting impression, be chic but playful and minimalist. Colour scheme is ideally monochrome but we are open to suggestions based on designers ideas. I like the ideal of pastels and black/white, but will take your advice as to colour scheme.
I have attached a photo of a logo design I was playing with myself just for reference, I really like the idea of how the 'I" and the "R" look like they're joined so, SKRT instead of SKIRT but am open to ideas.
