Web Design Brief

About Direct Effect:
Direct Effect TV is the first web-based video platform that allows thought leaders and influencers to connect with their audience in real-time debates/discussion.
There will be a host and 2 contestants
The debate will be divided into 3 to 5 rounds, each round will be 2-5 min

Page 1: Display on Screen (for viewers)
3 way streaming video
1 host/moderator
2 contestants
Clearly identify on the screen which of the 3 people are speaking (Ex: when contestant 2 is speaking, the audience should be able to identify who’s speaking without spend time looking to see who talking)
Topic of Discussion (Ex: 2016 Presidential Elections)
Round Number: Sub-Topic (Ex: Round 2: Candidate 1 vs Candidate 2)
Topics will be hash tagged and should be shareable on social media
Titles of host and contestant
Name, Brief Bio, Social Contact (Twitter, Linkedin, email, etc)
Timer
A countdown clock for each round with a 10 sec warning flash
Scorecard - For previous round and existing round should be displayed
Scorecard will be based on:
Thumbs up/claps emoticon
Thumbs down/boo emoticon
Tie/draw
Chat window
Audience commenting
Top upvoted question will be highlighted and shown as the audience’s choice of question (based on ranking) to the contestant
Sharing
audience should be able to easily share this debate via a link/tweet/facebook/chat
contestant quotes/highlights (posted by the moderator during the course of the debate) should be sharable via social media
Endorsements/Product Placement/Payment Gateway (this can be switched between the contestant quotes every 30 seconds)

Ex: I support Contestant 1’s effort to end immigration reform - Click Here (payment gateway)
