Is you "Ibsen" ? If not,- what will be the purpose of "hand drawn"?
Which size (pixel x pixel) do you think of? (Thickness of lines, detailing)
How do you compress the pulse? I cant see the technical difference. You dont want to be shown?

Yes, I am "Ibsen" :-) The "hand drawn" sketch is to be used an a nice illustration on things like web-site, posters etc.

I'm not very artistically capable myself, so I don't have any input to provide on line thickness, detailing etc. - sorry...

As to your technical question: The pulse is compressed by delaying the long wavelengths relative to the short wavelengths, which is accomplished by use to two gratings as illustrated. The pulse width is illustrated by the "gaussian, spectral pulse".

I don't understand your question about not being shown...

(sorry, you're right,- it shows how it works)
