Logo Design Brief

I am an illusionist that is putting together a new website, I also plan to release a deck of cards that will feature my new logo as the seal / design.

I do a lot of work involving sleight of hand and close up magic. I work more in the vein of magicians such as Daniel Madison, Bobby Motta and Mark Calabrese if you need a visual reference for the kind and attitude of work I do.

I am looking for something that is simple and classic in it's design - a lot of the examples I have given are quite 'Royal Esque'.

My full name is Sam Dixon, but to keep things compact I would prefer to have the Logo containing my initials.

The types of things that I am after should be obvious from the moodboards attached - please bear in mind that I predominately use cards in my work. Hearts, Clubs, Spades & Diamonds are useful emblems for suits - but please do not make these obvious symbols. Using just 2 emblems such as Spades / Clubs tied into a design would be more subtle for example.

The above said, my work is not only cards however so I am not precious about there needing to be any feature of cards or suits within the logo design at all.

I prefer strong, simple colours that work well together - but not bright colours. Black and white with a highlight colour, (gold, blue, green etc) would be preferred. No loud red's, oranges etc.

The final design should communicate a well established, royal-esque emblem that includes my initials and conveys the confidence of my skills as an artist and illusionist. I have attached the Sam Kennedy logo as a reference, as this is a logo I have for another area of work of mine in the music industry - and I love this design and vibe.
