Logo Design Brief
We need a logo for Ruby Roo that works on all media from web to packaging to catalogs, etc. Ruby Roo is an ecommerce website that sells directly to daycare centers, schools and homes. The product is educational by category, however it includes all products that could outfit a daycare center or school including playmats, carpets, learning toys, mirrors, furniture, cribs, etc. Ruby Roo is a red kangaroo and she acts as the mascot for the company. We would like for a character to be created as part of the logo that represents Ruby the red kangaroo. She should be part of the logo type whether she is peeping out from behind or in the middle of the action. She should represent someone who teaches and who is fun. A stacked logo makes more sense as it will look better and take up less space. The tag line is Play. Explore. Learn.

Check out the brief carefully. I believe Stacked logos are a better approach for space. Remember, Ruby Roo is a hip, cool, fun kangaroo with a great personality who loves kids! So, keep it light and fun - and more characterized than iconized. Colors should be bright and the logos bold and readable. Props are fine - like alphabet letters, numbers. Ruby could wear an outback/safari hat as well. Ruby is a red kangaroo, so stick to the color red for her as well.

Thank you everyone so much for your submissions. We are new to DesignCrowd and are very impressed with your work. The logos we have liked the most have characterized the kangaroo in a youthful, hip and educational way. The colors have been bright on the logo. And the tagline is in balance with the rest of the type. The kangaroo is interacting with the logo in some way that makes sense. Our company is a distributor of educational products (mostly large) like blackboards and furniture that goes into daycare centers and schools. Most of the products are in bright or primary colors. The pouch is being used in very creative ways as well. Ruby is our mascot so she needs to be exciting and fun.
