Logo Design Brief
I need a logo for "Rushlight", or "Rushlight Studios". What this would be for is a small film studio. Rushlights are old-timey not-quite-candle holders. The rushlights were homemade, inexpensive, varied widely in length (good ones could last an hour+, smaller ones 15 minutes or less). That's pretty accurate for us. We're a small studio in its infancy, most everyone who works on projects with us does so because these projects are important to them. Also, the flickering, low-light quality... these are things that ideally I'd like to capture and convey. (Independent, small, movement, fiery colors (a small flame, a little thing, growing and moving, just barely illuminating its surroundings...), I've attached a couple of logos/images that I like. I don't want copies of these, they just have some elements I like: color, or movement, or shadow.
I'd really like to incorporate a rushlight in the logo, or have the logo in text showing out of the shadows. I need this logo to be able to be used on dark shirts/screens, and b&w for paper goods. This logo will need to work well on promotional goods.

Nice to have
- Would like to see some emblem style logos. Moth-to-a-flame. "Rushlight" text formed in the shadows. (See the attached images for what I'm referring to, or look up "shadow sculptures"). If you include a flame somewhere, it should be a small, forward moving flame. I'd really like a logo (text or preferably emblem/abstract) that would look good as a stand-alone on t-shirts and similar products.
Should not have
- Big gaudy flames. Text only. (Can be predominately text, but needs to have a little something more.)
