Logo Design Brief

We are a golf driving range in Northeast Ohio that is opening a bar at our location and needs a logo to go with it. We provide high quality ("country club" quality) practice facilities to the general public. Our primary business is golf and this new bar will support that.
This new logo should be fun, simple, conservative, and classy. We want this logo to reflect an upscale establishment. Our primary colors are green and burgundy and we would like this new logo to be mainly burgundy, even it is only the typeface.
The bar will be named after our dog Putter to be "Putter's Bar & Grille" at The Golf Improvement Center (only Putter's Bar & Grille should be in the logo). Included are photos of Putter and one of our current logo. The new logo need not look anything like our original, just given as suggestion. We would like to see some version of Putter in the logo, whether it is his whole body or just his head. Adding something golf is essential (Putter carrying clubs, a ball in his mouth, etc.). The writing can be incorporated into a single image or next to the image of Putter.
Most important, this logo must support our current brand and be easily recognizable. Visiting www.thegolfimprovementcenter.com may give you a good idea of what kind of business we are.

Requirements

Must have

• Putter (the dog) must be in the logo. This can be and artistic interpretation, cartoon, actual photo, etc. Putter should be shown with some relation to golf: he could be putting, carrying a bag, wearing a old-style Scottish hat, etc.
  The logo must also include the text Putter's Bar & Grille (or Putter's Bar and Grille depending what fits best).
  This logo also must be scalable (easily recognizable as a 1 inch logo or a large banner).
