The logo that was posted is what was supplied to us from the winning contest for our logo a few days ago and thats what has been uploaded in the brief. Should we have received it in another format?

Yes, you should also received logo in another format, I mean exactly vector format; now, in brief I can see .jpg and .png formats -- these formats are not good for printing; I'm sure you've received vector formats, just please look again in your previous brief.
