Breanna’s House of Joy operates as a charitable project under the Fiscal Sponsor-ship of The New Horizon’s Foundation which has been in operation for 25 years. Breanna’s House of Joy is a non-denom-inational Christian ministry located in Chiang Mai, Thailand, with administrative offices in Colorado Springs, CO.
Our Mission:
To provide for the disadvantaged people groups of Asia with programs that value the dignity and worth of each individual as a child of God, their families and the communities in which they live.
Our focus is on the care and education of children, discipleship and presentation of the gospel, prevention of trafficking and sexual predators, community development for villages and leadership skills demonstrated by the BHJ girls and college graduates.
Why was Breanna’s House of Joy Started?
Child prostitution, Aids and the drug trade of the Golden Triangle are significant problems for the hill-tribe people of northern Thailand and usually have tragic consequences for the village orphans of this region. The hill-tribe people are poor, uneducated and have few opportunities to be successful and children often have to work at very young ages. Breanna’s House of Joy was established to combat this problem, one child at a time. At the home near Chiang Mai, orphans from five different tribes are learning the ways of Christ and receiving a good education so that they can help their villages and tribal groups as well as themselves. They are taught to appreciate their tribal heritage and to participate in the evangelism outreach ministry of Joy To The World Foundation in Thailand. Breanna’s House of Joy not only gives back a childhood to the orphans but it brings hope to the hill-tribe villages who are being reached by the children’s ministry.
How Can I Sponsor a Child?
The cost of sponsorship for one child at Breanna’s House of Joy is $150 per month. This amount covers everything -- food, housing, clothing, healthcare and education. You may sign up to be an individual sponsor or to partner on a sponsorship with Breanna’s House by turning in the attached card.
Our program is designed to build leaders and the girls are prepared to go on for advanced education. For girls going on to college, the sponsorship is $250 a month. The sponsorships cover all of the monthly expenses tuition and internships for a girl in college.
