Logo Design Brief

I am looking for a logo for my criminal defense law firm in the shape of a compass or the north star (the idea is that I "guide" people in the right direction), with either the letter "K" in the center or my initials. My colors or royal blue and orange, OR Crimson and Yellow. I would be open to other color combinations if you think there are better combinations.

I have attached a sample compass design to give you an idea of what I am looking for. It does not need to be this exact compass - it is just to give you an idea of that I am looking for.
