Logo Design Brief
I am working on behalf of a client who is growing and I have convinced them that their basic logo could do with a 'once over'.
The client is quite emotionally attached to the logo (aren't they all!), so wants to keep the revised logo 'regognisable'. So what we're after is a revamp. much like AT&T, UPS, BP etc (taking these ideas from: http://wefunction.com/2008/10/50-stunning-examples-of-a-great-redesign/
We'd like to keep it contemporary, modern, and we intedn to use it on our website (currently at: www.archwaysfostering.com/joomla) so it needs to be identifiable in many sizes (currently it's not!)
It's aimed at families and children so should look 'friendly' and not too 'corporate'.
The current logo is supposed to represent a 'person' with thier arms around someone else (like a child). This isn't immediately apparent, but maybe could be enhanced!?
The current (awful) logo is attached to the brief. The purple 'Arch' is what need sto be recognisable/retained/revamped. The rest is open to negotiation.

Requirements
Must have
- It must be in some shade(s) of purple and/or complimentary colors.
It must be family/children friendly.
I'd like to see the logo on it's own without the Archways Fostering text and also without the tag line. To see if it stands well on it's own.
Nice to have
- Maybe a 3D and 2D style?
