Logo Design Brief
Stock Software (.com.au) has a software application called IRIS, which stands for Incident Resource Information System. It is used by government agencies to track resources (people, vehicles and equipment) at emergency incidents. Historically it has been used for bush fires, and hence our existing iconography is very flame based, which is what we are trying to get away from since it is now used for floods, disease outbreaks, oil spills... you name it.
The software has a number of modules:
* IRIS Coordination - for managing allocation of resources to incidents
* IRIS Planner - for planning future shifts at large incidents
* IRIS Payments - for working out how much to pay everyone who worked at or
* IRIS Reports - for reports
* IRIS Gate Keeper - kiosk tool for registering arrival at an incident
* IRIS Data Manager - a backend tool for managing resource types etc
We would like one logo that represents all of IRIS, but also logos for each module. There should be an obvious visual connection between the IRIS logo and the module logos.
We would like the logos scale well as they will be used in a number of sizes:
* In the header bar of web-apps
* Button icons on IRIS module selection screens
* Windows icons (Note, we don't need 48x48 versions, but design towards supporting that sort of scale)
To save yourself some time, please start with the IRIS logo and don't start working on module logos until you have received some positive feedback.
