Logo Design Brief
Good Florist Guide is a website that not only aims to guide consumers on how to buy flowers with lots of gorgeous rich content but also put them directly in touch with florists through our Good Florist Guide directory. However after 8 years we're having a long overdue and major site re-build and we want a new look logo to go with it.
The current logo can be seen at goodfloristguide.com (ignore the pants site - it's nothing like what we are building but we don't want to give away too much at the moment so have deliberately put up something horrid!) and we want to stick with the purple/green combo although have selected a new palette with some softer variations on the green - see attached file.
In terms of look we like clean and crisp to show we are professional rather than twee and flowery although realize some curleycues might help and we are not adverse to them. If however you use a flower as part of the logo please make sure it is a commercially available cut flower not a weed or garden plant as we are all florists. You can see our trade site theflorist.co.uk for lots of pics of flowers we work with or our Facebook page.
However please remember the logo has to work in a variety of ways .... long and horizontal on it's own to go along the top of the site but also as rectangular window decal and small logo for the GFG'ers own website/corporate stationery with the date included as per the current style.
Updates
Going to be honest and say none of these are really pressing my buttons ... I really don't want a fancy type and only one of you has looked at the logo in the context of a square for the window decal. The original logo combined strong typography and a floral visual which worked well with the dating ... unfortunately I don't see any ... well possibly only one achieving ... the same result. Appreciate the speed with which you have come back on this but can you please look at the logo and the colour palette I supplied as those are the key indicators. Many thanks and kind regards, Caroline
