Logo Design Brief

Hi. The name of my business is Earth.Metal.Paper and our motto is repurpose, regift, repeat.

I would love to have an eye-catching and memorable logo design that does at least two things. First - reflect the core of our business which is to create items (usually jewelry, clothing, photographs, and home decor) using items from the earth, metal, or paper (wood, seashells, cans, wires, papers, old tires, hangers and the like). Second, the logo must be something that looks good and transfers across mediums so it can be used on shirts and hats, cover photo for Facebook, as well as business cards and display boards.

I've just recently opened an Etsy shop and created a FB page and am desperate for a professional look and style that stands out from all other home and small businesses. I've gone the cookie cutter route with two different business cards that i will upload for you to see. I also travel locally setting up a vendor booth to sell my items and it would be nice to have a quality design to represent me on business cards, and larger banners as well as trifold hand outs.

I've always been a creator at heart since childhood starting with crocheting and scrapbooking. This creative outlet turned into therapy for me after retiring in 2013. It helps tremendously with PTSD. It's my hope to offer craft classes at my local VA clinics to help other Veterans. In the meantime, I've started selling my items (lest I become a hoarder by mistake, lol).

Part of the proceeds from my jewelry sales are donated to various nonprofit organizations that I support; particularly the butterfly fund which supports children with Epidermolysis Bullosa.

I hope that bit of info gives you some insight into me and the business I hope to transform into something unique that benefits me and others as well.

Target Market(s)

Male and female ages 10 to 65 years old. People with eclectic styles, loves the outdoors, handmade gifts, vibrant colors, support small businesses, and appreciates DIY projects and people that are jack of all trades, master of 'some' lol.

Requirements

Must have

• visual appeal, a more is less style. something that shows we repurpose and recycle things, and turn trash to treasures, and we love nature. Simple and elegant but understated.

Nice to have

• Some of the jewelry we make is very commercial and specifically for kids, so if some of the design choices have cartoon - like images, that is ok as well.
• Depending on the logo, I don't know if the business name and motto should be incorporated or not.
