Graphic Design Brief

I am currently in the process of starting a landscaping company. The company name is Apostles Lawn & Landscaping. The Christian theme is intentional and I would like for this concept to resonate in the logo. Here are details of what I am picturing in my mind to this point:
1. The layout for the logo will be something similar to:

Lawn & Landscaping
-I would like the first line to be indented more than the second; the steps following this will provide more detail as to why this is the case. How far it is indented I am open to creative input on based upon other criteria below.
2. The color scheme will be a white background with some flexibility in the letter color scheme. I am initially leaning towards green for the lettering color, but am open to input here. Green just seems like an obvious fit with a landscaping company. I am also open to playing with multiple colors for the lettering for each line with a different shade of green for each line or perhaps black for the first line and green for the second.
3. In regards to the actual font for the lettering, I am open to any input on this and do not have any particular font in mind.
4. One of the key points with the logo is that I would like for the "T" in Apostles to be a cross and stand out without being overly so. In terms of color it will obviously be brown, so the color for the remaining letters in Apostles needs to coordinate with that color effectively. I would like for the angle of the cross to be in contrast to the other letters and have it overlap in front of the "L" for effect. This is a signature piece of the logo so it needs to be eye catching and cleverly designed. I do not want it to be over the top (ie. crown of thorns or blood of Christ added, etc.), but want it to be eye catching. The four end points will be splintered or jagged for effect and the wood should look weathered or something similar.
5. On the left of both lines, as in before the "A" in Apostles and the "L" in Lawn, I would like to add a design that starts just below the bottom line and "grows" up and out in an elaborate/creative/unique design. In the same way that the cross is a faith based theme, this design needs to incorporate the landscaping theme. It will be some type of leafy vine design that can wrap wrap around the "L" &/or "A" if it looks good. This would be a design that would very much be artistic input on your part.

• Cross using letter "T" in Apostles in brown; this is a signature piece of the design so it needs to match the project description and should have additional time and focus spent making it look good
• Vine/Landscaping design to the left of the beginning words in each line; as in to the left of Apostles & Lawn. This is the other signature part of the design and is an area that I am looking for advanced artistic impression in. I am not looking for a basic modern design here, but it am also not looking for an overworked design here either. A classy signature piece - my goal is to provide customers with a first class look for their property; this design is the first impression they will see of that.
