Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for a new company that will trade globally in the human resource space providing a staff development service. We are technically savvy. We solve problems. But most of all we are solid. Our customer base includes employment agencies, banks, insurance companies, health professionals and other corporates such as IBM and Oracle. We are solid and professional. Our people are educated, experienced and empathetic.

Our business is called "Before They Leave" and uses the web address "beforetheyleave.com".

Our product set is based around providing methodology, tools, education, and consultancy support in succession planning. This is everything around what a business needs to do to secure corporate knowledge that is often only stored in employees heads, getting to defined, documented, and available to pass onto other people.

The business will be largely marketed on the web, through email, and the Apple App Store. We present at seminars and conferences that are hosted by our associates, customers, and key industry players. We want to embellish all our presentation material with our logo. We want our logo to be memorable.We want our logo to be strong and iconic.

Once we are happy with a logo as a separate project we will obviously want other marketing collateral but this project is for the logo.

The attached files are things we have seen we sort of like. They seem sort of consistent. But they are just a brand board. We not not asking for that to be regurgitated.

Requirements

Must have

• The logo must be iconic, recognisable at a distance, in colour or black and white.
• The flavour of the design must be at home in a banking, corporate, or government market. The colour usage should be simple and solid. Powerful.
• The logo should work on a web site, stationery, advertising signage etc but it must also work as an icon in the Apple App Store.

Nice to have

• The attached files are of images that intuitively seem consistent with the market. They are provided only to suggest a flavour. We do not own these images and are not looking to include or copy them. We are only noting that they intuitively feel like they belong to the branding we are considered.

Should not have

• It must not be gimmicky
