To guarantee a project is to guarantee the payment of one designer between the ones that submit to your project. If the project is not guaranteed, what usually happens is that after receiving several proposals, the clients asks for the refund and noone gets paid. This is why many of the more professional designers do not accept non-guaranteed projects, so the guarantee will also work in your favor, so to speak, because you will receive more proposals and better quality ones.
