Logo Design Brief
We love our current logo however we need something MORE that can work as a secondary logo on its own or in conjunction with what we have now. We are looking for something that would be our primary logo for social media, so something that is square or even better circular. I like the idea of a picture that evokes the feeling of our aesthetic. Example, Cole Hahn uses a needle and thread as their "bug" in addition to their main logo which is just a simple font with their name. Coach is very similar. High end hand bag companies were the original inspiration for our lettering we use now and would be a good litmus test for this picture logo.
We sell home accessories and gifts. I do not want to use a picture of a flower (as that makes us look like a floral shop) or a house (as that makes us look like a home builder or remodeling contractor). I want just a picture without any text as we will continue to use the logo we have as our text.
Updates
Project Deadline Extended Reason: Some of the submissions are on the right track and are close but I'm not in love with any of them yet. I'd like to see more submissions and have the designers I like tweak their designs and have a bit more time to be creative. Added Wednesday, May 13, 2015
Project Deadline Extended Reason: Although I like the monogram idea, I'm really looking for a picture as my brief name and description states. A wouldn't consider a monogram to be a picture. I added some general feedback with a concept idea to the designer discussion to help. Added Monday, May 25, 2015

Requirements
Must have
- A high end design feel, fairly equal proportions, only a picture (we will continue to use our current logo as the text portion of our logo), a special unique design
Nice to have
- Since our name is "fleurish" I don't want to use a flower (even though I know that fleur is French for flower) because it will be perceived that we are a flower shop/florist.
- I do however have an idea that I think would be really cool. I chose the name fleurish as an alternate, prettier looking spelling to the word "flourish" for two reasons: 1. It means "to be successful" which of course as a shop we want to be but also because we want our customers to be successful in making their homes comfortable and beautiful with the things they purchase from us. 2. I am a decorative artist and have used flourishes throughout my painting career.
- I would love to see a flourish or flourishes used to create a pictorial logo of a bird. A nest might be cool also although I think the bird will look better. Our customers love birds and birds have a special place in my heart too.
- Anyone out there that can draw a bird using flourishes rather than a regular clean line drawing?
