T-shirt Design Brief

I am looking for a line of t-shirts, 5 in all.

T-shirts will be for kids under 12. Ideally 7-9 range. Design should be confident. Most kids are shy and need to relate to a conversation topic for them to open up. The line of shirts should broadcast a hobby/ sport that child likes. Something healthy that keeps them moving and off the couch. No video games references. In the simplest terms: I Play Soccer. or I love to swim. (w/ an elegant designers touch.)

Shirt should clearly state a childs interest but also do it proudly and confidently. Something that would initiate conversation.
Shirts should have great energy and use TYPOGRAPHY. Preference is for few or no graphics. TYPE should be the focal point.

5 topics: Soccer, Dance, Hockey, Running, Swimming

If winning designs work, we will expand the line and relationship with the designer going forward.

Target Market(s)

kids 7-9. Kids who have passion and pride in the sport of the design that they are wearing. The kid who buys the swimming shirt- is a compulsive swimmer. Swimming has a deeper meaning to that boy then his friends.

Requirements

Must have

• Neat Typography. Great energy. A show of confidence. Thinking the child is telling an adult what they like to do in a proud but respectful way. No minimum on colors. Can use both sides.

Should not have

• one logo is ok, but not too many. t-shirts will be soft and comfy to the touch. soft cotton or blend.
