Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for a new immigration law firm based in Denver, Colorado. We specialize in employment and family-based immigration petitions and criminal defense for non-citizens. We would like a professional logo that involves either our initials, "JKL", or a symbol-logo with the firm name, "Johnson Knudson LLC". We use the color blue on our website, www.johnsonknudson.com, and logo should go with the website (but we're not attached to the font used there for the logo). We're looking for something original (not typical balance, gavel or globe used too often for immigration law firms), modern and classy.
