Packaging Design Brief
This is a new company and the first product so you have plenty of flexibility and creative license.
Concept: Health products, mostly herbal, from different cultures around the world. Most are drawn from traditional indigenous healing sources-adapting the best from traditional cultures and cultivating them for the West. The focus is right now on Asia, but will expand to other regions. Over-arching concept is health-promoting and wellness. I'm trying to modernize and make relevant and accessible for Westerners traditional healing, therefore the package should reflect that blending but with a definite modern, friendly, and upbeat feel.
The brand is called World Vitae, you can check the website (worldvitae.com), but right now it is just a blog (that will be redesigned).
Product: Chinese Medicine formula of herbal tea. This formula is for weight loss, and will be advertised as such. However, the packaging design should not reflect that; one descriptive sentence about the weight loss benefit is fine, but I don't want a big picture nor title.
Goal: I want to keep the package classy, fun, attractive and a bit professional-something you'd be willing to stand on your desk at work.
For the individually wrapped bags, I want them portable and classy-interesting as well. Something you can throw in your bag or pocket and take with you and maybe show off to your friends. The fact that its a weight loss tea remains a secret.
Sales channels: Online, through alternative health practitioners (naturopaths, Chinese medicine doctors, homeopathic, etc)
Packaging:
3g of tea (1 serving) in pyramid style bag. If you don't know what I mean, see here http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/205178546/pyramid_tea_bags.html
1) First decide: tag or no tag. If tag, design the tag.
2) Each pyramid is individually wrapped. - You need to design this.
- Don't make some huge bulky packaging that is impossible to pack into larger boxes or to throw into a purse. (For example, these are a bit too big, http://www.thedieline.com/blog/2009/1/18/ceremonie-teas.html)
3) Design the outer container. I'd love a box that can turns into a dispenser, such as:

Think about how the inner packaging will fit into the box.

Project Deadline Extended
Reason: I think there are some more good ideas out there and I look forward to seeing them.

Because I think there are a lot more good ideas out there and many people told me I couldn't get my project done within the budget, I've increased the payments. I hope you will participate now.
1) Tag or no tag. (Either way is ok.) If tag, tagdesign.
2) Individual wrapper for nylon pyramid bag. The wrapper can be thestandard square envelope with whatever design. Or it can be foil. Or it can be ashape. So I need the design and the dimensions.
3) Box format, including size/dimensions, layout (vertical/horizontal),dispenser style (if possible—or some better idea, according to the designer’svision).
4) Box design, color scheme, pattern, font, etc. (if the designer justindicates which panel is for which info i.e. front, nutrition, etc, I’ll fill inthe text)
